You probably heard about the automobile accident airbag recalls. Like you I was shocked that the auto industry is conducting a large air bag recall, one of the largest recalls in the history of the industry. Apparently different bags have different problems, but some will simply blow up injuring the very people it is supposed to protect. Sounds like a bad dream or B horror movie, doesn’t it? Sadly, it is a reality. Interested in knowing if your car has a recall? Is your car part of the Takata airbag recall? I will provide a link below where you can find out.
I put in my vehicle number only to find out that the side automatic doors can pop open causing the passengers to fall into the road. Really? I could not believe it. The doors would pop open and my grandchildren might just fall out? In this day and age how did that happen? Who was the engineer that came up with this door? Oh, but there is more.
Here’s the kicker….there is not a fix and owners must just turn off the automatic function. It is important for your safety and the safety of your family to keep informed. I called our dealer after learning about the recall. We were told there was not a fix but they are working on one and will notify us of a solution. I figured I would never hear from them again. I was wrong. About three months later we did get a card in the mail telling us to call the dealer again. I did call. The dealer ordered the part and had us bring in the van the next week. All is good. Call us if you need an auto accident attorney.
