Holy Cow! What happens when you hit one?

The Kansas Supreme Court just ruled that livestock owner is not liable for escaped livestock unless you can prove the owner failed to exercise reasonable care in confining the livestock. The livestock had escaped their enclosure and were hit by a driver on the highway. Good news, I suppose, for the cattle industry. The practical rule of the case: if you are going to have a car wreck, don’t hit a cow.    Beneke v. Smith, May 1, 2015.
